This comprehensive one-day COR® Internal Auditor Requalification course is designed for certified internal auditors who have not yet expired and who have completed two audits within their current three-year certification period. This training refreshes and strengthens participants’ ability to conduct effective, accurate, and defensible COR® audits.
The course reinforces the knowledge and skills required to conduct high-quality COR® audits. Participants will revisit the full audit cycle while strengthening their understanding of audit standards, expectations, and best practices. They will practice audit verification techniques, refine interviewing and observation skills, and improve their ability to produce accurate, complete, and defensible audit reports.
Using the COR® OHS National Audit Document, the COR® Internal Auditor Participant Manual, and the Auditor Resource Guide, this course emphasizes practical application. Through interactive discussions, exercises, and a comprehensive case study, participants will focus on audit consistency, auditor diligence, and navigating real-world challenges such as pre- and post-audit meetings, documentation gaps, and non-conformances.

Registration for this course is by approval only to ensure all participants meet the required prerequisites. To begin the registration process, please email training@bccsa.ca to have your eligibility confirmed. Once reviewed, you will be advised of your eligibility status and, if approved, provided with instructions to complete your registration.

To successfully complete the course, participants must demonstrate proficiency through active participation and completion of in-class assignments, including achieving a minimum score of 80% on a final quiz.
A renewed three-year COR® Internal Auditor certificate will be emailed to the participant upon successful completion of the course.

Earning CPD points each year is a mandatory part of renewing a BC Housing Residential Builder Licence. A Residential Builder Licence term is 1-year, and BC Housing requires that CPD points be earned each year to maintain and renew standing. The BCCSA is a pre-approved education provider for general contractors to earn CPD points while acquiring occupational health & safety knowledge and skills.
