Safe Work Practices

Safe Work Practices (SWP): Safe work practices are a set of methods or “Do’s and Don’ts” on how to carry out a specific task or use equipment. They should inform the worker about the hazards that are present and provide direction on how to safeguard against the hazards. They are general methods only and do not define specific procedures.  (Example: Use of ladders, safe lifting).

Contact a BCCSA Regional Safety Advisor if you have any questions or would like assistance developing SWPs.
