Calling all creative B.C. students!

Calling all creative B.C. students! The 2025 WorkSafeBC Student Safety Video Contest is here, and it’s your chance to win cash prizes for your original video!

This year’s theme: Show up, speak up for safety

When you’re new to work, it can feel like things are out of your control. But you do have the power to make a difference. Your video should highlight how young workers can create safer and healthier workplaces by speaking up and getting involved in health and safety activities.

Who can enter?

Students in Grades 8-12 with a teacher or youth organization sponsor.

  • Grades 8-10: Junior category
  • Grades 11-12: Senior category

Deadline:

All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 5 p.m.

The sooner you post your video, the more time people will have to view and rate it!

How to enter:

  1. Create your video and post it on YouTube.
  2. Have your teacher or sponsor submit the entry form with the YouTube link.
  3. Optional: Share your video on Instagram! Follow @WorkSafeBC and tag your post with #SVCWorkSafeBC.

Remember, videos should avoid inappropriate content and copyrighted material.

Tell us your vision for a safer workplace—because when you show up and speak up, everyone benefits. Don’t miss your chance to make an impact!
