The BCCSA returned to the Canadian Concrete Expo in Mississauga on February 14 & 15, 2024! We presented on the Certified Concrete Pump Operator (CCPO) program, and our conference session had its highest registration numbers to date! The BCCSA’s Ammar Kavazovic and Sara Knights spoke to the development of the CCPO program and the new regulation in BC mandating certification for pump operators; a lively Q&A followed the presentation.

We also had an opportunity to chat with Manny from The Construction Life podcast for a YouTube livestream and witness a concrete pump rodeo on the show floor. BC’s own certified concrete pump operator, Scott Sutherland, was a competitor.

CCE 2024 was packed with conference sessions, stage presentations, hundreds of exhibitor booths, and large equipment demonstrations showcasing the latest innovations in the concrete, aggregate, and construction industries. The show floor was buzzing with activity, and the BCCSA booth in Hall 1 was well-attended both days.
